These fun, festive, and delicious Snowman Chocolate Cups are the perfect Christmas treats or wintertime snacks! These no-bake chocolate cups are also made with just a handful of ingredients!

Six months ago I traveled to Brazil so my family could meet my son Thomas. He was only four months old then; now at nine months he sleeps through the night, is eating solids, crawls around the house, pulls up on furniture and is beginning to make sounds. Watching him grow has been a true blessing, and I feel very grateful for every milestone.
Time has flown while we’ve been here. We visited beaches, hosted my Canadian in-laws, traveled across Brazil and to Argentina and Uruguay, enjoyed delicious food, reconnected with friends, and spent quality moments with family. I’ll miss much of this time, but I’m excited to return to Canada and get back to our routine.

I’m especially excited to share this simple and adorable Snowman Chocolate Cups recipe for the holidays. These no-bake cups are as cute as they are easy—just six ingredients are all you need. They’re perfect for decorating with kids and make charming edible gifts.
You can make the cups in silicone or regular muffin pans using cupcake liners for easy removal. Have kids help pipe the snowman faces—just be careful when piping the dark chocolate eyes and mouths: make a very small hole in the corner of the bag or the chocolate can blob. Alternatively, black sparkle gel works well and is quicker. The cups set fast; chill them for about 10 minutes before serving or packaging.
A final tip: choose good quality dark chocolate for the base. Since chocolate is the main flavor, using a high-quality dark chocolate makes these cups taste their best.
Other festive ideas to serve with these treats: Christmas Chocolate Banana Treats, No-Bake Chocolate Coconut Bars, Christmas Almond Chocolate Cups, or a Holiday Cheese Board. Small treats help make any gathering feel complete.

These fun, festive and delicious Snowman Chocolate Cups are the perfect Christmas treats or wintertime snacks! These no-bake chocolate cups are also made with just a handful of ingredients!
Ingredients
- 2 cups dark chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
- 6 pretzel sticks cut in half
- 1/4 cup Christmas sprinkles
- 6 pretzel sticks cut in half
- Red sparkle gel
- Black sparkle gel (optional: you can also pipe the eyes and mouth with melted dark chocolate in a snipped plastic bag)
Instructions
-
Melt the dark chocolate in a heat-proof bowl in the microwave, stirring every 20 seconds until smooth.
-
Spoon about two tablespoons of the melted dark chocolate into a small resealable plastic bag and set aside for piping the eyes and mouth.
-
In a separate heat-proof bowl, melt the white chocolate in the microwave, stirring every 20 seconds until melted and smooth.
-
Spoon the melted white chocolate into another resealable plastic bag for piping and set aside.
-
Pour the remaining dark chocolate into silicone muffin cups or lined regular muffin pans, filling the bottoms to form the cup base.
-
Snip a very small corner from the bag with white chocolate.
-
While the dark chocolate is still warm, pipe two white chocolate circles in each cup to form the snowman body and head.
-
Snip a very small corner of the bag with reserved dark chocolate and pipe tiny eyes and a mouth. A small hole prevents blobs and keeps the face neat.
-
Add pretzel stick halves as arms.
-
Use red sparkle gel to add buttons, and optionally use black sparkle gel for facial details if you prefer.
-
Sprinkle Christmas sprinkles around each snowman for a festive touch.
-
Chill the cups in the fridge for at least 10 minutes to set before serving.
Notes
- Recipe adapted from The Decorated Cookie.
- When melting chocolate, ensure bowls and utensils are dry—any moisture can cause chocolate to seize.
- If you don’t have chocolate chips, use chocolate baking bars instead.
- Use good-quality dark chocolate, as it’s the main flavor in these cups.
- To store: Keep the chocolate cups covered in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
