Detoxifying Rosemary Lemon Water Recipe for Daily Refreshment

Rosemary lemon water is a refreshing, elegant drink that brightens any table. Beyond its simple detoxifying appeal, it looks beautiful in a clear carafe as the rosemary and lemon release delicate color and aroma. The rosemary sprigs impart a subtle herbal note without overpowering the beverage, while the lemon adds bright citrus balance and a touch of vitamin C.

Health benefits of Rosemary and Lemon

Lemon water is a simple habit I enjoy, especially during times when bloating is an issue. Lemon acts as a mild diuretic and contributes a bit of vitamin C. Adding rosemary creates a pleasant herbal aroma and flavor. Rosemary has a long history of traditional use for its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, which is likely why it was favored as a household medicinal herb in generations past.

I use rosemary both fresh and dried in cooking — it pairs beautifully with chicken, roasted vegetables and grains. I also enjoy its scent in candles and sprays. If you have room, a few rosemary bushes make keeping fresh sprigs convenient and rewarding.

How to make Rosemary Lemon Water

This fragrant infused water is quick and easy to prepare. Use a clear 2-quart carafe for an attractive presentation. Add 2–3 fresh rosemary sprigs and one whole lemon, sliced or quartered. Fill the carafe with cool drinking water, then refrigerate for about two hours to let the flavors infuse.
