It was difficult to convert this site to a membership model, but after repeated hacking incidents that lowered search rankings and ad revenue, membership support became necessary to maintain the site. When readers told me they couldn’t afford a membership, I created this annual giveaway to help.

Prizes:
Seventeen paying members kindly wrote reviews about their annual membership experience on Carla’s Gluten Free Recipe Box. To thank them, I gave away 17 free annual memberships—one to each of 17 winners.
Age Requirements:
Entrants must be at least 18 years old, or the legal age in their jurisdiction, to participate without parental permission.
Country Requirement:
This giveaway was open worldwide where permitted by law.
Giveaway Dates:
The giveaway ran from March 2 to March 31, 2016 PT. Any comments submitted after the end date were removed.
Entry Limit:
Each person could enter only once. Multiple entries disqualified the entrant.
How to Enter:
To enter, visit the Membership page and read the member reviews (click “Reviews 17”) to see if the membership suits you. If you’re unsure, browse the Recipe Index to sample gluten-free recipes in different categories and read about Carla Spacher, the gluten-free expert and recipe developer, on the About page.
At the bottom of the membership page you will find a comment form with fields for Comment, Name, Email, Website, and a “I’m not a robot” checkbox.
- In the “Comment” field, briefly explain why you want to enter the giveaway.
- Enter a name in the “Name” field. If you win, you will need to provide your real name to set up the membership.
- Provide a valid email address in the “Email” field and double-check it—winners are contacted by email.
- Leave the “Website” field blank unless you actually have a website; there is no need to paste social profiles.
- Click the “I’m not a robot” checkbox to verify you are a real person and not spam.
